It’s common fact that the GOTC staff are all avid gamers. However, the unanswered question recently is “Unreal Tournament 2004 or Battlefield: Vietnam?” The two writers, that being Helix and myself, are currently split on the issue. I haven’t touched Unreal yet and my co-worker has yet to get his hands on the copy of Vietnam that was sent to GOTC. Today, I’m going to give you a look into the latest product from the EA Games/Dice team and share my thoughts and opinions about what makes Vietnam the best game so far this year.

Since turning in my final project for Software Engineering, I’ve had some time to work on tweaking my system a bit software-wise. One of the things I wanted to add to the functionality of my system is a nice and easy way to notify me of events (such as new mail). Since it’s tutorial-time, I’ll share my code with you, and go over another topic in Bash shell scripting.
