Naughty or Nice? The Geek Christmas List

Christmas is always a special time. More than any others, we computer geeks enjoy Christmas like no other group on the planet. Many don’t have the budget to run out and buy the latest and greatest hardware when it is released; therefore, we have to wait until a reason comes up for someone to give it as a gift. Personally, the problem that I suffer from is that I tend to not like the “geeky” product that someone else picked out for me. However, read a little further into the article and you’ll find a Top Ten Tech Toys for less than $50, sure to satisfy any geek on your list.

Since we discussed the motherboard and processor already, the memory is still left to be decided on. There are at least three mainstream types and many variations on those three types, so the memory market tends to be crowded with products and even more confusing to me than the whole AMD Performance Rating gimmick. Of course, since we’re discussing memory types, we might as well at least briefly mention removable memory or flash memory types, as they can provide a very convenient method for transferring files between multiple computers, sans wires or a network.
